This is a Multi"X halogen table lamp by Israeli industrial designer Yaacov Kaufman for Italian lighting manufacturer Lumina. The lamp features a pivoting base and the four wheels in the base allow soft rotation in every direction. The lamp has an original mobile stem made of small steel units. The stem is an ideal support for a halogen light source that can as well be adjusted in all directions. The switch of the lamp is on the body. This is the original Multix table lamp with the pivoting base, the four wheels in the base allow soft rotation in every direction. Due to the high manufacturing costs Lumina decided later to replace this technology by a much simpler lamp base. The second version of this lamp is also without a transformer. This lamp is a tribute to Marcel Duchamp's painting "Chocolate Grinder"
